For management convenience or due to project requirements, the platform assigns different tags/memos (Memo/Tag) to deposit addresses for certain cryptocurrencies. A Memo is a unique digital string that ensures the uniqueness of deposit addresses, appearing in pairs with the deposit address and corresponding one-to-one. When making a deposit, you need to fill in not only the deposit address but also the Memo tag.
How to Fill in a Tag?
- Open the App homepage, click on [Assets] → [Withdraw] → [Withdraw Digital Currency] → search for the tagged cryptocurrency
- Select the destination [Exchange or Wallet] → the page will display withdrawal prompts → after [Swipe to Confirm], you can input/paste the recipient's [Deposit Address]
- Enter the [Memo/Tag] → enter the [Withdrawal Amount] → click [Submit], enter the required passwords and verification codes to complete the operation.
Important Notes
When depositing, you need to correctly fill in both the cryptocurrency address and tag. Entering an incorrect tag may result in funds not being credited properly. If this happens, you should promptly contact online customer service or submit a feedback report including the cryptocurrency type, amount, correct tag, incorrect tag, and the transaction hash value. An engineer will follow up on your case.
If you're withdrawing a tagged cryptocurrency to an address already saved in your address book, the withdrawal page will not display the tag input field because you've already added the address and entered the tag when saving the address to your address book.
